I am disappointed about my stay. My pillows have mould on them.The first night I thought maybe I did not take my make up good enough, but the second night it is noticeable mould! I am literally sick. I went downstairs to report the concern but was informed that there was no manager on site. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. My friend who is also staying in the room is pregnant and could easily cause respiratory issues with her and myself.

This small 170-plus-room hotel with a bright, cheerful lobby felt intimate and welcoming. Its close proximity to the DeKalb subway station and the City Point, which houses a Target store, a Trader Joe’s, and the DeKalb Market Hall that offers a dazzling array of cosines, plus several interesting restaurants right adjacent to it, made it a good choice of stay when visiting Brooklyn. Our room on the 17th floor facing the City Center was quiet, cozy, and clean. It came with a small fridge. The bed was comfortable, and the shower water was strong. The staff were courteous and helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Basic digs, good location, noise alert!

Super basic digs in a good location, but not a good option for light sleepers! The hotel was clean, fairly well-managed, and offered the typical Aloft experience, but this location is NOT for light sleepers! The heating/AC unit is necessary to keep on all night to drown out street noise, but it makes VERY loud noises in the middle of the night - maybe it was just wear and tear because the unit worked, but noisy enough to wake us up every night! The only other note is that the hotel is super overpriced in December for the holidays, but so is every other hotel in the city. (Would expect Aloft to offer lower prices for its demographic?) Otherwise, decent 3-night stay.

I'm a Marriott kind of guy, and Aloft is my kind of chain. Love the boutique style of rooms and hotel amenities. Vibes are more chill and less corporate than other brands. The hotel is near a lot of subway stations, so it is easy to get to Manhattan for any tourists visiting NYC. The hotel has a nightclub on the roof, so the higher your room, the higher your chances of hearing the bass to "Drop It Like It's Hot" bumping in the hallways.

We made our online reservation the night before and called to request an early check in - they were able to accommodate. With a warm smile Angelica checked us in with ease. I’ve stayed at the Aloft in Harlem, so familiar with the brand. Surprised it’s under Bonvoy Marriott so I get my points. Well lit room and one of the most comfortable king beds ever. Linen was crisp and fresh. Housekeeping stopped by on arrival to make sure everything was good. We needed ice (pre packed bags in the lobby) so she had someone come up quickly. Nice size fridge was a great addition. Coffee/tea station set up was a great way to start the morning. Breakfast items for sale in the lobby. They also has a lobby bar, fitness center and a pool table. Hotel is in the heart of Brooklyn so there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. Subway is one block away. Yep…we’ll be back.
